how many children do i have?
the four around me that’s for sure
smiling on digital camera
hiking with me on the mountain
through alpine meadows
where purple flowers lie soft
between the heather
four
I think
four
that’s all I have
I am pretty sure
if I don’t count the other ones
the ones that I ignore
the ones that are not all that special to me
and bother me
in the dark
with their suffering and pain
the ones who live in gutters and in cities without hope
sick
except for those
and all the ones that are not in the digital pictures
then four
I have four
and not any more. |
