It's happening, the zone 3 youth co's are getting together at Loudwater farm (UK) on the last weekend of March....anybody else fancy coming along? We've got Miguel and Celia from Portugal, Agata from Spain, Dahliana from France and Elias and myself from the UK. And Rhyana (WSA Youth) is going to come along too. Unfortunately Aidan can't make it (Spain), and Halina (Italy) and Edward (Belgium) have stood down. It would be brilliant if anybody else could join the party. Either that, or get on skype and we can all talk together, my address is loobiloo.

| Well, there have been some changes in Zone 3 youth matters since March, and anybody who's interested should read the rather lovely report by Rhyana above. We took our minutes to the Zone 3 meeting in Lisbon, which was received well, and I am really happy to say that we now have a new SYA zone 3 coordinator, Dahliani Drezja from France. Let's hope that the rest of the zones get an opportunity to get their own zonal youth coordinators... |

Dear All
I want to tell you about our next youth co. zonal meting in 2007. It will happen in the beautiful place , we all love , in BUCELAS!!!
The date will be , 16th - 19th March, and the meeting on the 17th and 18th .
Every one involve with youth and art, is welcome I will give you more details later , but take the date and if possible book your plane to Lisboa as soon as possible!!!!!!!! I hope you will bring every thing you know, so we can enjoy ,dancing , theatre, craft, and also testing and the most important will be to do the Latihan together with Allmighty God.

SUBUD YOUTH ACTIVITIES: NOTES Rhyana Blakeley, SYA International Co-coordinator FROM THE LAST ZONE 3 YOUTH MEETING

In the last meeting we felt that are main objectives were:
• To energise young members in countries were there is not an active youth.
• To bring life to subud properties.
• To help the young members bring life and energy to groups and countries were subud isnot moving.
We agreed that the best way of doing this was to organise camps whether they are youth camps or family camps, working camps, artcamps or just holiday camps.
The outcome was to organise a camp in Bucelas which in the end did not happen.(I wish to add that I feel that this was still a success, as the individual organising the camp could see they had the ability to do this. And it brought life and energy back tothe youth in Portugal, whether the camp happened or not was only part of this.) Can we identify why the camp did not happen? And whether we feel as a group wewish to continue in this direction?
Also it has been mentioned that we do not manage to keep the communication andsupport going between us after we meet how can we address this?
SUBUD YOUTH ACTIVITIES INTERNATIONAL, SYAI, PROJECTS
Since we last meet many things are developing here is a summery of them.
THE YOUTH TRAVEL FUND:
There is now an international fund to help young members travel. We manage to putthe criteria together just in time for some young members from Indonesia to attend the national congress in Australia. The criteria and application process is available in 6 languages and will be handed out to you all soon. So if young members in your countrywish to travel internationally they can use this process to apply.
Also part of the criteria for the fund was that subud youth would find enterprises to put money back into the fund, so it lasted. So have a little think of anything we might beable to do.
THE YOUTH BOOK:
I have joined forces with Bjorn, and then deserted him to do all the work. But we are trying to create a book of inspirational stories by young subud members. A book that young members can really relate to. We are hoping to make it available to youngmembers around the world (so not to expensive) but also so that it create a profit that can go straight into the International travel fund.
VOLUNTEERS WITHOUT TEARS:
SYAI and Susila Dharma International have been working together to create a better programme for young subud members who wish to volunteer for a SD project.
It is in the early stages, but there has been a gathering of experiences from young members who have already volunteered.
THE WINGS
All the international wings have joined together and our working together, to get rid of separation. This is an exciting new way of looking at the wings, and already exists inmany countries and is spreading. How can youth coordinators work more with the other coordinators in their countries and zones? I know many of you are already doing this, in different ways.
SUBUD RADIO
A new project of an international radio project which is very exciting. I hope to startbroadcasting soon, but I have had some problems with my lap top.
SUBUD LIFE
This great website has been offered as a tool for subud youth and for youth coordinators to communicate more. Why do we not use it more, and who can we use it more if we feel we want to?
WORLD CONGRESS
Any ideas about the youth programme at world congress, it is a while away but thingsare starting to role already.
QUESTIONS THE WORLD COUNCIL ARE LOOKING AT
• How can we bring subud more out into the world?
(For example we all tested ‘how do I talk about subud with my friends’ And ‘how should I’)
• How subud can start creating money?
• Also how can the young member feel more represented in the world council? I.e. if there are any problems in certain countries with groups or helpers, how can a young member communicate with the International Helpers?
• And how can we start makingare meetings and procedure move more. Be quite frankly shorter and less boring. I am now the expert of 10 hour-long meetings, no kidding. These are really things that the world council want to hear from youth.
Also there is a sort of pyramid, the young members, the national youth coordinator, the zonal youth coordinator or the members of the world youth team, the international youth coordinators who sit on the world council. How can things pass up and then pass down more smoothly, so there is communication. (This is not just a youth thing of course.)
Lastly, the work of the Yes Quest and of Spirit of Enterprise who both really wish to work with young members. The international wings team, who wish to help supportmembers ideas, encourage enterprises and camps and general movement, and encouragethe use of the current Subud properties. |

ACTIVIDADES DE LA JUVENTUD SUBUD:
Escribe Rhyana Blakeley, coordinadora Internacional de la Juventud Subud Internacional, luego de la última REUNIÓN DE JUVENTUD de la ZONA 3:
En la última reunión sentimos que nuestros principales objetivos son:
• Estimular a los miembros jóvenes en aquellos países donde no hay una juventud activa.
• “Dar vida” a las casas Subud.
• Apoyar a los jóvenes a llenar de vida y energía aquellos grupos y países donde Subud no se esté moviendo.
Acordamos que la mejor manera de hacer esto es organizar campamentos, ya sean campamentos de jóvenes, familiares, de trabajo, de arte, o simplemente de verano.
La idea era organizar un campamento en Bucelas que al final no dio resultado, pero quisiera señalar que siento que sí fue un éxito, en vista de que los organizadores del campamento se dieron cuenta de que tienen la habilidad para hacerlo, y porque trajo vida y energía al grupo de Portugal. Si el campamento resultó o no, es solo una parte del proceso.
Pero, ¿podemos identificar por qué el campamento no resultó? Y si es que nos sentimos como un grupo, ¿deseamos continuar en esta dirección?
También se ha mencionado que no logramos mantener la comunicación y el apoyo después de que nos reunimos, ¿cómo podemos trabajar esto?
ACTIVIDADES INTERNACIONALES DE LA JUVENTUD SUBUD, SYAI, PROYECTOS
Desde la última vez que nos reunimos muchas cosas se están desarrollando. Aquí hay un resumen de ellas:
FONDO DE VIAJE PARA LA JUVENTUD:
Actualmente hay un fondo internacional para ayudar a los miembros jóvenes en sus viajes. Nos pusimos de acuerdo en ciertos criterios justo a tiempo para apoyar a algunos jóvenes de Indonesia que asistieron al Congreso Nacional de Australia. Los criterios y proceso de postulación están disponibles en 6 idiomas, y se los repartiremos a todos ustedes muy pronto. De manera que si los miembros jóvenes en sus países desean hacer viajes internacionales pueden utilizar este proceso de postulación al fondo.
Parte de los criterios del fondo es que los jóvenes de Subud encuentren la manera de establecer empresas para volver a disponer dinero en los fondos, de manera que éste sea duradero. Así que los invitamos a pensar qué podríamos hacer al respecto.
EL LIBRO DE LA JUVENTUD SUBUD:
Había unido mis fuerzas con Bjorn, y luego lo dejé haciendo todo el trabajo a él. Pero estamos intentando crear un libro de historias inspiradoras de miembros jóvenes de Subud. Un libro con el que los miembros jóvenes realmente se puedan relacionar. Esperamos que esté disponible para todos los miembros jóvenes alrededor del mundo (y que no sea muy caro), y que si obtenemos algún beneficio éste se vaya directo al fondo de viaje internacional.
PROYECTO: “VOLUNTEERS WITHOUT TEARS”:
SYAI y Susila Dharma Internacional han estado trabajando juntas para crear un major programa de voluntariado para aquellos jóvenes Subud que quieren unirse como voluntarios a algún proyecto de Fusila Dharma.
Está solo en sus comienzos, pero ya hay una serie de experiencias de miembros jóvenes que han sido voluntarios de Susila Dharma.
LAS ALAS
Todas las alas internacionales se han unido y están trabajando juntas, para dejar de estar tan separadas. Esta es una nueva e interesante manera de ver a las alas, y ya existe en varios países y se está difundiendo. ¿Cómo pueden los coordinadores de juventud trabajar más con los otros coordinadores en sus países y sus zonas? Yo sé que muchos de ustedes ya están haciendo esto, de diferentes maneras.
RADIO SUBUD
Este es un nuevo proyecto de tener una radio internacional, lo que resulta fascinante. Espero difundirlo pronto, pero he tenido algunos problemas con mi notebook.
SUBUD LIFE
Este increíble sitio ha sido puesto a disposición como una herramienta para que los jóvenes Subud y los coordinadores de Juventud se comuniquen más. ¿Por qué no lo usamos más, y cómo podríamos utilizarlo más si así lo sentimos?
CONGRESOS MUNDIALES
Ideas para el programa de jóvenes del próximo Congreso Mundial. Falta bastante, pero las cosas ya se están comenzando a preparar desde ya.
TEMAS EN LOS QUE SE ESTÁ ENFOCANDO EL CONCEJO MUNDIAL
• ¿Cómo podemos llevar más Subud hacia el mundo? (Por ejemplo testeamos “¿Cómo hablamos de Subud con nuestros amigos?” y “¿Cómo deberíamos hacerlo?”)
• ¿Cómo puede Subud empezar a “crear” formas de ganar dinero?
• También cómo podrían los miembros jóvenes verse más representados en el Concejo Mundial, por ejemplo si es que hay problemas en algunos países con el grupo o los ayudantes, cómo puede un miembro joven comunicarse con los Ayudantes Internacionales?
• Y cómo podemos hacer que las reuniones y procedimientos sean más eficientes y se muevan más rápidos, que sean más francos y menos aburridos. Yo ya me he convertido en una experta en reuniones de 10 horas, y no es broma. Estas son cosas que el Concejo Mundial realmente está esperando escuchar de parte de la juventud.
También hay una suerte de pirámide, los miembros jóvenes, el coordinador nacional de jóvenes, el coordinador zonal de jóvenes, o los miembros del equipo internacional de jóvenes, los coordinadores internacionales de jóvenes que participan en el Concejo Mundial. Cómo pueden traspasarse las cosas hacia arriba y hacia abajo de manera más eficiente, ara que efectivamente haya comunicación. (Por supuesto que este no es solo un tema de los jóvenes)
Y por ultimo, el trabajo de los proyectos “Yes Quest” y “Spirit of Enterprise” (Espíritu Empresarial) que realmente esperan trabajar con los miembros jóvenes. El equipo Internacional de las Alas Subud, que esperan apoyar y ayudar las ideas de los miembros, estimular a las empresas, encuentros y todo el movimiento, y estimular el uso de las actuales propiedades y casas de Subud.[/b] |
